SRINAGAR, June 18: Speaker Legislative Assembly, Dr Nirmal Singh today convened a meeting with Secretary, Assembly R L Sharma and other officers of Assembly Secretariat to discuss the working of Assembly Secretariat.
Additional Secretaries, Naseem Jan, Manzoor Ahmed Baba, Deputy Secretaries, Mohammad Amin Shah, Abdul Qayoom Mir, Farooq Ahmed Shah and other officers of Assembly Secretariat were also present in the meeting.
Threadbare discussions were held on the internal issues of various sections of the Assembly Secretariat. The Speaker was apprised regarding working of their respective sections.
The other issues highlighted during the meeting included functioning of Financial and House Committees of the Assembly, proceeding of House and working of different sections of Assembly Secretariat.
The Speaker directed the senior officers of Assembly Secretariat to prepare a blue print for further streamlining and administrative reform, and to minimize the burden of working of the Assembly Secretariat.
Taking cognizance of various issues highlighted during the meeting, Speaker sought suggestions from the concerned for overall improvement of the system.
He assured them that he will take the issues with the Government for their redressal.
