SRINAGAR : Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly speaker Kavinder Gupta today directed the government to give report about the implementation of earlier direction from the Chair to provide employment to a sportsperson from Jammu.
The issue was raised in the Question-Hour by Congress MLA from Inderwal, Jammu, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori alleging that despite direction from the chair Chayan Singh, who won medals at national and international level, has not been provided employment by the government. Speaker Kavinder Gupta directed the government to report about the action taken on the earlier directions from the chair to provide employment to Singh from Jammu since he has won various medals in National and International tournaments.
Give report by tomorrow, the Speaker directed the government. (AGENCIES)
