Srinagar, Aug 28: Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Mubarak Gul today appealed the Union Home Minister to ensure safety and security of the students of Jammu and Kashmir, who are studying in various professional colleges and universities across country.
The direction came in response to the issue raised by People’s Democratic Party (PDP) MLA, Peerzada Mansoor, about 200 students of the State studying in Mohali College of Punjab were attacked by some people in the college.
The Speaker appealed the Chief Ministers across the country to take necessary security measures for the students of State so that such incidents do not occur in future.
