JAMMU, Sept 10: Sparkle Woman’s Group initiated second vaccine drive at Heritage School here.
The drive was planned and organised by Project Head Shivani Gupta along with Chairperson Poonam Sethi and team sparkle.
SWG drive started by welcoming Dr JP Singh CMO, Dr Poonam Sethi Deputy.CMO, Dr Shahid Hussein State Immunisation Officer, Dr Harshdeep Joshi MD Community Medicine and Dr Ambika Bali District Immunisation Officer. The welcomed dignitaries provided constant support in organising the previous drive wherein more than 250 plus people were vaccinated. During the second drive, more vaccines were provided to make Jammu a COVID free zone.
“Sparkle Woman’s Group is actively supporting social cause since 2019 when the group was launched”, Shivani Gupta said.
She informed that SWG provided langars at the peak COVID times near the hospitals, organised camps “Red Ek Ehsas” where 50 girls adopted and provided sanitary pads and hygiene education. Another feather on the cap was the adoption of the Oncology Department SMGS Hospital Kids Cancer patient, she added.
“Along with the sparkle team, many people joined hands to support the entire department by providing them with AC Water coolers, TV and much more in creating the play pen for these children with toys, books and furnishings”, Gupta informed.
“Sparkle Woman’s Club believe in selflessly giving is the Art of Living”, she asserted.
