Kiev, June 25 : The Spanish government delivered a second batch of Patriot anti-aircraft missiles to Ukraine on June 21, the EFE news agency reported, citing government sources.
In addition to the missiles, the shipment included Leopard tanks, various types of ammunition, anti-drone systems, optical-electronic surveillance systems and remote-controlled turrets, the report said on Monday.
In late May, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez signed a bilateral security agreement in Madrid. The agreement includes, among other things, humanitarian aid and demining. Spain will also allocate a record military aid package to Ukraine worth about 1 billion euros ($1.07 billion) in 2024.
