SP Salwinder Singh reaches NIA headquarters for further questioning

NEW DELHI :  A day after the controversial SP of Pathankot,  Salwinder Singh, was summoned by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), he today again reached the NIA headquarters for further questioning related to his statements in the Pathankot terror attack.
NIA has issued a summon to him to appear at its headquarters in the capital as there was some inconsistency in his statements.
Singh had given contradictory statements and claimed that he, along with his cook and a friend, was abducted by terrorists on his way back from the Panj Pir shrine.
Terrorists allegedly abducted Singh, his jeweller friend Rajesh Verma and cook Madan Gopal on the intervening night of December 31 and January 1 and entered the IAF base in Pathankot. Then they carried out a terror strike in which seven security personnel were killed.
Till now, the post-mortem examinations of the bodies of the terrorists killed have been conducted at Pathankot Civil Hospital and body tissues of the militants have been preserved for DNA profiling. (AGENCIES)
