JAMMU, Aug 12: In view of recent spurt of attacks, forthcoming August 15 and ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, Suram Singh, SP Railways Jammu inspected the Railway track from Jammu to Samba.
He gave on spot instructions to the jurisdictional officers for safety and security of both men and material at Railway Station Jammu, as the said vital installation is the most crowded Railway Station of the State where tourists/ pilgrims/employees and general public throng in thousands on daily basis. The officers were asked by SP to give instructions to the jawans to provide all viable assistance to public especially on August 15 and ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatries. Besides they should be asked to be polite with public but firm in their duties. The jurisdictional officers were directed to give instructions to the jawans under their control to remain available, visible and alert in their respective AOR, so that no nefarious elements may dare to sneak into the vicinity of Railways Jammu. It was also instructed that jawans may be briefed to be ready to retaliate any threat at anytime.
