Srinagar, Apr 25: CPI (M) State Secretary Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami and J&K Pradesh Congress Committee President Prof. Saif-ud-Din Soz have condemned the attack on polling party in Shopian in which one polling officer was killed and five others were injured.
They expressed their heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased and injured.
A teacher identified as Zia-ul-Haq, of Hurpora Shopian, who was on poll duty, was killed and five others, including two policemen and a CRPF trooper, were injured in an attack.
Tarigami also condemned attack on journalists and stressed upon the Government to look into their complaints of harassment, while they are performing their professional duties.
