JAMMU, Oct 1: Former Union Minister and president Pradesh Congress Committee has asked partymen to donate liberally for the relief fund raised by the party for the flood affected people in Jammu and Kashmir.
While accepting the relief cheques from party leaders for the affected people in the State, he said that keeping in view the devastation caused by rains ad flood in Kashmir as well as in Jammu, the Corporate houses and the individuals who can afford should contribute in PCC Relief Fund.
On this occasion, Thakur Hari Singh-vice president PCC; R.S. Chib-(former Minister) and Thakur Manmohan Singh (general secretaries PCC); Hari Singh Chib-organising secretary PCC and Prakash Sharma-(Ex-MLA) district president Samba have donated rupees one lakh each to Pradesh Congress Committee Relief Fund.
Prof Soz handed over the cheques to Treasurer PCC Relief Fund Y.B.Sharma for depositing in the bank.
The leaders also expressed gratitude to Sonia Gandhi president AICC, Rahul Gandhi-vice president AICC and Smt. Ambika Soni-general secretary AICC Incharge J&K for extensively touring flood affected areas of Jammu and Kashmir and distributed relief material among the affected people.
