NEW DELHI, Dec 22: Soybean prices dipped by Rs 21 to Rs 3,116 per quintal in futures trade today on cutting down of bets by the traders in line with downbeat overseas sentiment.
Marketmen said falling prices overseas discouraged traders to offload holdings, which led to a fall in soybean prices here in future trading.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange counter, soybean for February slid by Rs 21, or 0.67 per cent, to Rs 3,116 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 1,05,900 lots.
The delivery for January also thinned by Rs 19, or 0.62 per cent, to Rs 3,059 per quintal, having a business turnover of 2,48,870 open lots. (PTI)
