NEW DELHI, Oct 25: Soybean prices rose by Rs 10 to Rs 2,882 per quintal in futures trading today on widening of positions by speculators amid high global prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, soybean for most-traded November contract improved by Rs 10 or 0.35 per cent to Rs 2,882 per quintal, having an open interest of 89,780 lots.
Soybean for delivery in December month also edged up by Rs 7 or 0.24 per cent to Rs 2,933 per quintal, with business turnover of 71,070 open lots.
Marketmen said the rise in soybean prices at futures market was mostly driven by a firm trend in global market.
Besides, rising prices of edible oils in domestic markets also supported the upside, they added. (PTI)
