Sone Ki Chidya

Sir,
India used to be called “Sone  Ki Chidya” or the golden bird. It is said that gold used to be like any other metal used even in daily use as cups, plates, spoons, cutlery,  photo frames etc not to speak of ornaments and religious places like temples, shrines etc where deities were adorned with gold. Invaders from foreign countries looted our gold and other wealth periodically. Despite that our countrymen are fond of and use golden jewellery especially on marriages  and  other occasions. It is to be believed that India is one of the biggest gold consumers in the world and China follows us only as a second one. We are fond of and continue to be possessive about the yellow metal. May be we again turn out to be “Sone  Ki Chidya” or the ones with tremendous economic development.
Yours etc….
