MENDHAR, Jan 21: A soldier was injured in a mine blast near the Line of Control (LoC) in Mendhar area of district Poonch today.
Defence sources said that Naik Hubi Ram of 13 Rajputana Rifles, was on routine patrol along the LoC. In Pathri Galli area, the soldier slipped and over stepped a live mine near the fence. His right foot was blown up with the impact of mine explosion.
With serious injuries, the soldier was shifted to Mendhar hospital and then Military Hospital Rajouri from where he was later airlifted to Command Hospital Udhampur.
