Soldier goes missing in Uri

SRINAGAR, June 7: An Army soldier has gone missing in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district and a hunt has been launched to trace him.
Police have lodged a missing report after Army informed them about the missing of a soldier.
The Adjutant of 5 Jatt reported at Police Post Boniyar area of Uri in Baramulla district yesterday and informed that an Army soldier has gone missing and is not traceable since Friday.
The missing soldier who hails from Uttar Pradesh is 25 years old and was last seen near TCP Challa.
“Adjutant, a military officer acting as an administrative assistant to a senior officer filed a missing report and we registered the same. After watching the CCTV footage, it was visible that before leaving he left his service rifle and personal mobile behind”, a police official said.
