Srinagar, Mar 23: A soldier died due to cardiac arrest in Keran sector of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district today.
A Police officer said that Havaldar Darshan Singh of 9 Sikh Li fell unconscious due to heart attack.
A resident of Mohali, Singh, was immediately shifted to nearby medical room by his colleagues where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.
“Proceedings under Section of 174 CrPC has been initiated by Police in this regard”, the officer said.
Meanwhile, the body of the deceased was handed over to the concerned unit of army for further course of action.
