Union Home Ministry seems to have reconciled to illegal entry of Kashmir militants wanting to return to Kashmir along with their Pakistani wives and children. Not a single returning militant has used any one of the four officially identified routes. Maximum of them have used Nepal route. Why is it so? What is the purpose of Home Ministry increasing the strength of personnel keeping a vigil on the Indo-Nepal border when no action worth the name is taken against these militants who went over to Pakistan clandestinely and are returning to Kashmir clandestinely? The much hyped vigil on Indo-Nepal border is only for public consumption. Further what is the precise purpose of deploying a company or two of Kashmir police along the Indo-Nepal border? Deployment of J&K Police posse is a subtle way of legitimizing the clandestine crossing of the border by Kashmir militants. As soon as they manage to cross the border, they are offered the rehabilitation plan which has been drawn for them by the State Government and endorsed and funded by the Union Home Ministry. We shouldn’t forget that they are returning home after remaining away in PoK/Pakistan for 23 years during which period they made many armed forays into the valley and rendered immense help in fulfilling the agenda of terrorism and in ethnic cleansing in Kashmir.
