JAMMU, Sept 15: Sutra Event and AB News Patna under the guidance of its Secretary, Chirantan Kumar and Director, Ragini Patel organised programme ‘Beti Hai Vardan’ and ‘Shaurya Samman’.
The event was attended by artists from across the country with around 700 artists from different sections.
Poetess Sofia Jangral from Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana of district Samba participated in ‘Art and Culture’ category of the programme whose jury member was Soma Chakraborty.
About 200 people participated in this category from different parts of the country in which Sofia brought laurels to Jammu by securing a place among the top three winners.
She was awarded with souvenirs and certificate and she felt very proud that she was ranked in first three out of 200 people from across the country.
In a handout she stated that she will continue to do her work in poetry in this way and will try in every way possible to keep the name of Jammu bright with her work.
