Social, political organizations provide essential items to needy persons

JAMMU, Mar 28: Amid outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, various social and political organizations distributed free ration and other essential items among the needy persons.
Brahma Rishi Bawra Shanti Vidya Peeth Udhampur donated 2000 sanitizers bottles to District Administration Udhampur through District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Dr Piyush Singla, while Chenani Police led by SHO Inspector Paramjeet Singh distributed ration among needy people.
Ajay Pargal and Yudhvir Sethi, BJP leaders, Neena Gupta, Corporator Ward No. 50 Channi Himmat, Advocate Ishant Gupta Party Co-incharge IT and Social Media and Poonam Gupta Ward President, BJP Mahilla Morcha distributed dry ration among needy people at their doorstep.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) distributed ration and 2500 masks among poor people at Samba.
Salal Power Station has donated dry ration to almost 100 poor families including casual labours and construction workers residing in the slums and surrounding areas of Salal Power Station.
GS JKPYC Nimrandeep Singh along with Rajinder Kumar, Ajrawat, Gagan and Divyansh distributed dry ration, fruits and biscuits among the needy people of Channi Himmat.
Mahila Congress has provided food and ration among the needy family. Former MLA and Pradesh Mahila Congress President Indu Pawar said that the teams have been constituted at various levels to identify the people who are in the dire need of ration and food.
Team of Dogra Sanghthan led by its President Amit Kapoor and Vice President Ajay Dogra along with Shrikant SDM South, SDPO South Bikram Kumar, Incharge Police Post Narwal Inspector Khayatiman Khajuria served food to the stranded people at Railway Station, Transport Nagar and Narwal.
Social Organization of Kathua led by Municipal Councillor Baljeet Singh and assisted by Youth Khalsa Dal led by Lakhwinder Singh and Maninder Pal served tea and snacks among security personnel, officials of screening centres at Lakhanpur and inmates of quarantine centre at Kathua.
Baba Kailakh Dev Parbandhak Committee General Secretary Shakti Dutt Sharma along with President of the Committee Ram Pal Seth, Sahil Seth, Dr Varun Padha and Sunil Dutt Raka distributed ration among the needy and migrant labourers of Thathar-Bantalab area.
BJP Mandal Katra President Shashi Gupta, Co-Incharge COVID-19 Udhampur-Reasi Rohit Dubey and many others distributed medicines of approximately Rs 50,000 and ration to 30 poor families. They had also donated green feed for animals for 20 days during this crucial situation.
Social Worker Vinod Sharma of Nowshera District Rajouri visited the slum dewellers basti near Manwar Tawi Nowshera and distributed food grains to them. Pardeep Sharma Teacher also accompanied him.
Barring all odds, the locals of Katra feed biscuits, chapaties and water to stray animals and also kept water and rice on rooftop for birds.
Abhi Productions Welfare Trust today distributed food items among the stranded people at various places such as Bus Stand and Railway Station, here hit by the Coronavirus lockdown.
During the lockdown, the office bearers of the Trust including chairman Abhishek Sharma, president Dinesh Raina and vice president Varun Verma have served the food items to the needy people who were from the all parts of JKUT like Kashmir, Rajouri, Poonch and Lakhanpur, stranded at both Railway Station and Bus Stand Jammu for many days.
