Social, political organizations continue to extend helping hand during ongoing lockdown

JAMMU, Apr 7: Various social and political organizations continued to extend their helping hand by distributing ration and other essential supplies among needy persons in various parts of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir amid ongoing lockdown due to outbreaks of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The COVID-19 warriors of 49 Battalion Srinagar Sector CRPF distributed food essentials and sanitation items to female labourers in Karan Nagar area of Srinagar.
COVID-19 warriors of 29 Battalion CRPF distributed dry ration to 29 needy families. Sanitization kits for 116 personnel were also distributed alongwith dry ration.
BJP leaders Pankaj Basotra and Chetan Wanchoo distributed free ration and other eatables among the needy at Kabir Nagar area of Talab Tillo.
Dry rice of mid day meal was distributed to the doorsteps of every student of GPS Kotli in Bhaderwah. Incharge of the institution Shabina Malik, Sarpanch Kotli and many others were present on the occasion.
Department of Indian Systems of Medicines Kathua under the directions of Director ISM Dr Mohan Singh and ADMO Kathua Dr Vikram Singh Jamwal distributed immune booster Ayurvedic medicines in various Quarantine Centres and in the premises of Deputy Commissioner Kathua. DC Kathua Om Prakash Bhagat personally distributed the medicines among its staff members. ADMO Dr.Vikram Singh Jamwal also stated that these immunity booster medicines will also be distributed free of cost among health workers, PRIs, old age homes and Quarantine centres across the district.
J&K Unit of Saksham distributed eatables among physically challenged persons and other poor labourer families.
Anganwadi workers distributed nutrition at the doorsteps of the children of various Anganwadi centers in Gajansoo area of Marh block. CDPO Marh Sarita Bhagat was also present on the occasion.
BJP J&K Vice President Sofi Yousuf, Senior leader Mohammad Lateef Khan and other BJP activists served food to 200 non local labourers hailing from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Chattisgarh and other states of India who are being put up by administration at Government Higher Secondary School Srigufwara.
‘THE SARA’ led by its Director Dr Raminder Jit Singh distributed essential food items among 25 families of Old Gurha Bakshi Nagar.
With the mission to help the migrant labourers families, Panchayat Chadwal continuously served the Langer Sewa at Village Chadwal. Parshotam Sharma, Ajay Sharma, Anil Panna, Som Dutt Rasoia and Sarpanch Chadwal Panchayat Seemant Sharma were among others present on the occasion.
Secretary Indian Red Cross Society Jammu Region Vinod Malhotra, Corporator Ward Number 51 Raj Kumar and Founder Trustee SET India Rajesh Sharma distributed ration items to 80 families living in different areas of Channi Himmat. Naveen Sharma, Rakesh Kumar, Jagdish Kumar, Kuldeep Kumar, Anoop Kumar and Varinder Kumar were among others present on the occasion.
Social worker Neeraj Gupta distributed dry ration kits among the migrant labourers and needy persons residing in Channi Himmat areas of Jammu district.
RSS Unit of District Samba distributed ration among Gujjar community.
Cooked and raw food was distributed by Police Stations RS Pura led by SHO Jai Pal, Police Station Bishnah led by SHO Deepak Pathania, Police Station Arnia led by SHO Harmohinder Singh and Police Station Miran Sahib led by SHO Gurpal Singh under the Supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan and SP Headquarters Jammu Aadil Hamid to around 500 families of needy labourers and local families of RS Pura Sub division. The food was distributed in collaboration with socio-police volunteers of different areas.
Bhartia Modi Army President J&K Bal Sant Sahil Ji Maharaj distributed ration among the poor labourers in the presence of Krishan Lal Sharma General Secretary at Lala De Bagh. Kasturi Lal Sharma active member of the organization also distributed ration among the needy persons at Mareen and Gopala Chack, Kathua.
GS Sports Club served food to the 500 needy people. SDPO R S Pura Shabir Ahmad Khan, SHO Bishnah Police Station Inspector Deepak Pathania and Chairman, GS Sports Club Er Sushant Gupta were also present on the occasion. Honey Gupta, Bani Sadotra, Munish, Ashok, Sahil and Tushar were among others present on the occasion.
The members of MD Banday Memorial Society Poonch led by its General Secretary Er Saleem Banday distributed dry food items to the handicapped and poor people of all the three panchayats of village Arai in Tehsil Mandi viz. Haveli, Peeran and Malikan in presence of Sarpanchs, Panchs and prominent persons of the villages. Other members of the Society namely Ajit Singh Jeet, Kuljit Singh, Imran Hussain, Neeraj Kumar, Liaqat Banday, Jagjit Singh, Sohail Imtiaz, Karnesh Kumar, Sajid Imtiaz, Tanvir Banday and Waqar Ahmed were also present.
SDM Thanna Mandi and Tehsildar Thanna Mandi distributed 248 kits of ration among the labourer families in Thanna Mandi area of District Rajouri.
RSS Swayam Sevaks distributed relief material in the areas of Toph Sherkhania, Sarwal and New Plot.
Beopar Mandal Udhampur distributed ration in Ward Number 1 near stadium, Ward Number 17 near Santoshi Mata Mandir and Ward Number 10 to needy persons. President Beopar Mandal Jitender Vermani, Vijay Kumar, Rahul Magotra, Kamal Gupta, Naveen Kumar, Anil Vasandi, Jitendar Kumar, Sahil Gupta and many others were present on the occasion.
