Social, non political organizations celebrate Independence Day with fervor, gaiety

JAMMU, Aug 16: Like other parts of the country various social and non political organizations observed the 72 Independence Day with great pomp and show across Jammu regions yesterday.
In this connection the glittering functions were held in different areas of the Jammu region where besides hoisting of National Tricolour cultural programmes were organized befitting the occasion.
The J&K Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accounts of India (ICAI), held a function at ICAI Bhawan, Canal Road , here in which the senior as well as junior members participated to celebrate the Independence Day. On this occasion , Chairman of the J&K Branch of ICAI, CA Ajay Kumar Gupta along with the Executive Committee members and other members of the Branch unfurled the National Flag. They also pledged to serve the country and contribute towards the nation building.
The Independence Day was celebrated at Amar Singh Club here with patriotic spirit and enthusiasm yesterday. The Secretary of the Club Vijay Saraf along with the Executive Committee members unfurled the National Flag which was followed by rendition of the National Anthem.
Bharat Vikas Parishad , Bahu Fort Branch, Trikuta Nagar also celebrated the 72nd Independence Day yesterday with great pomp and show at Shakti Park Sector 9 , Trikuta Nagar,here.
Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy CM and MLA, Gandhi Nagar Assembly Segment was the chief guest who unfurled the National Flag. The function started with the welcome address of Purshotam Gupta president of the Branch. Kavinder Gupta on the occasion paid tributes to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the freedom of the nation.
The Independence Day was also celebrated by Team Jammu here yesterday by hoisting the National Flag and taking a pledge to fight against menace of drugs till Jammu province becomes a drug free zone.
Attending the serious if Independence Day across Jammu city the Team Jammu, chairman Zorawar Singh Jamwal appealed the youth to take pledge to root out the drug menace from the society.
Aadarsh Bhartiya Samaj (ABS) celebrated 72nd Independence Day with enthusiasm and gaiety. Ex Sub. Gauri Shanker hoisted the National Flag on the occasion on behalf of Samaj. Master Akshit Seth with a group of children presented patriotic songs on the occasion.
On the occasion of 72nd Independence Day the Global Peace Organization organized a relief distribution camp at Oldage Home Ambphalla here. The volunteers of the organization distributed sweets, ration including rice, pulses, oil, butter milk, fruits, chips etc among the inmates. In the morning the volunteers of the organization wearing Tricolour badges turned up chanting Hindustan Zindabad. On the occasion senior members of the House Prem Singh and Sneh Prabha unfurled the National Flag.
To mark the celebration of 72nd Independence Day , National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) organized a grand function at Pacca Danga Chowk wherein NMC , president Subash Shastri along with Ex D C, B S Jamwal and prominent social activists unfurled the National Flag.
The 72nd Independence Day was celebrated today at Bhartiya Yog Sansthan, Gole Gujral, Jammu in which a large number of members from 110 Kendras of the Sansthan participated.
On the occasion Abhay Kishore Pandey, DGM, State Bank of India , J&K, was the chief guest who unfurled the National Flag. Satya Pal, president BYS, Jammu and Jia Lal, secretary BYS were also present on the occasion.
The Indepndence Day was also celebrated by the Sehyog a NGO at their Office at Canal Road in which Danish Mishra , chairman of the organization unfurled the National Flag.
He said we are today living freely in India because of the sacrifices of freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the independence of the nation.
Zenith Guidance Private Ltd also celebrated the 72nd Independence Day with great enthusiasm and charm yesterday. In this regard an impressive function was held in the premises of the organization. Sanjay Kumar , Director of the Company hoisted the National Flag and highlighted the importance of the Day.
Jammu and Kashmir Christian Association organized a flag hoisting ceremony on the Independence Day yesterday at Residency road , here in which S M Gill ex MLC was the chief guest who hoisted the National Flag. President of the Association Waris Gill Advocate was also present on the occasion.
PHE Workers Welfare Association also celebrated the Independence Day at PHE City Sub Division , Dounthli Jammu yesterday with great pomp and show. On the occasion president of the Association, Bakshi Singh and Vijay Sharma, AEE unfurled the National Flag.
To celebrate the Independence Day, the Aasmaa Charitable Trust in collaboration with Manni Event and Marketing Pvt Ltd organized a musical cum dance event for orphan children of Ved Mandir Ambphalla, yesterday. The programme was organized to promote sports, dancing and singing among the orphan children. On the occasion Manika Mahajan , chairperson Aasmaa Charitable Trust distributed  sports uniforms among the children in presence of Senior BJP leader and MLC Ashok Khajuria and other dignitaries of Ved Mandir.
The 72nd Independence Day was also celebrated with great zeal and zest at All India Institute of Local Self Government (AIILSG) Jammu Centre in which the National Flag was hoisted by Regional Director, AIILSG , Jammu K B Magotra.
Kana Chak Camp border residents within the range of one km of International Border celebrated the 72nd Independence Day by organising a grand function yesterday. The function started with flying of pigeons. On the occasion Peru Ram Sharma a senior citizen of the area who was the chief guest and ex Panch, Tara Chand Sharma hoisted the National Flag.
The 72nd Independence Day was also celebrated by All J&K Christian Forum yesterday with great pomp and show at Ambphalla Chowk near district jail, here. On the occasion Markes Gill, State president of the Forum was the chief guest who also unfurled the National Flag.
The 72nd Independence Day was celebrated by Water Works (PHE) Employees Association Jammu in a traditional manner at Company Bagh, Dogra Chowk here , yesterday with great zeal and  enthusiasm.  Shiv Kumar Sharma, State president of Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) who is also the provincial president of the Association was the chief guest on the occasion who hoisted the National Flag.
The National Anthem was recited by all present in the function.
The 72nd Independence Day was celebrated by Shree Vishwakarma Library and Research Centre (SVLARC), New Plots here yesterday. The National Tricolour on the occasion was hoisted by Principal Ram Lal (Chairman of the organization), Shashi Verma, president of Vishwakarma Sabha (VS), J&K, Raman Chalotra, president youth Wing.
Senior BJP leader and MLC, Ashok Khajuria hoisted the National Flag on the occasion of Independence Day yesterday at Ved Mandir Bal Niketan, Ambphalla. On the occasion Khajuria announced an aid of Rs 10 lakh from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for maintenance of play ground for female children and construction of a wall.
Brij Mohan Chawla conducted the parade of children at Flag hoisting ceremony.
Bharat Vikas Parishad , Gandhi Nagar Branch, Jammu celebrated the 72nd Independence Day at Shivaji Chowk, Nanak Nagar here yesterday. On the occasion Amita Sharma Prant president of the Parishad hoisted the National Flag.
The 72th Independence Day was also celebrated by Shri Badri Nath Shiv Mandir  Committee. Prem Nagar New Plots under the chairmanship of Kapil Dev Sharma. President of the Committee, Parshotam Abrol hoisted the National Flag on the occasion.
The Independence Day was celebrated in Arya Samaj Dayanand Marg by organising a Yagya and Hawan with Vedic Mantra. Prayers were also offered on the occasion. The National Flag was hoisted by the general secretary of the Samaj, Balwan Singh and Prashad was distributed among the participants.
Punjab National Bank (PNB) celebrated 72nd Independence Day at Branch Office Gandhi Nagar. On the occasion National Flag was unfurled by PNB Circle Head, S K Rana  which was followed by rendition of the National  Anthem and patriotic songs.
Healthy India Stronger India (HISI) celebrated the 72nd Independence Day with great patriotic fervor and enthusiasm at Ward No 9, Bikram Chowk , here yesterday. On the occasion, chairman HISI, Hira Lal Abrol unfurled the National Flag along with students and Executive members of the HISI.
Dream City Residents Welfare Association, Muthi also celebrated the 72nd Independence Day yesterday with pomp and show. On the occasion district president Jammu Rural BJP Omi Khajuria hoisted the National Tri Colour and threw light on the freedom movement of the country. The programme was organized by I K Raina a social activist of the area.
Chamber of Traders Federation (CTF) celebrated 72nd Independence Day by holding an impressive function at its office Gandhi Nagar here yesterday.
On the occasion Attar Singh, president, CTF hoisted the National Flag in presence of prominent people, office bearers and members of trade organisation.
Bawa Kailakh Dev Prabandhak Committee celebrated the 72nd Independence Day at Thathar Bantalab yesterday. On the occasion flag hoisting was made by S I Ranjeet Singh Rao in charge Police Post and Committee president, Master Rampal Seth.
Jammu Province Peoples Forum (JPPF) also celebrated Independence Day yesterday at its office Thakkar Sahu Sabha. On the occasion, JPPF president, Pavitar Singh Bhardwaj hoisted the Tricolour . He also greeted the people of the State on this historic day.
J&K Grameen Bank celebrated Independence Day at Dati Todi Memorial Convent School, Ratnal, Sarore yesterday with great fervor and enthusiasm. On the occasion flag was hoisted by chairman of the Bank Janak Raj Angural who was the chief guest in the function.
The Independence Day was celebrated at National Incredible Literacy Mission, (NILM) Head Office Roop Nagar, Jammu with great enthusiasm and fervor, On the occasion Thakur K D Kurhan, chairman NILM unfurled the National Flag.
Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha, Chanakaya Chowk, Parade, president Ved  Parkash Sharma  hoisted the National Flag in the premises of the Sabha in presence of all the members and prominent members of the community on the occasion of Independence Day yesterday.
The 72nd Independence Day was also celebrated by Akhil Bhartiya Dharam Prachar Sewa Samiti (ABDPSS) Jammu and Kashmir at Railway Station here yesterday.  On the occasion Ajay Vaid State Prabhari, BJYM and Sunil Sharma, chief organizer, (ABDPSS hoisted the Tricolour.
The 72nd Independence Day was celebrated at KPS Shooting Club Barnoti with great enthusiasm and fervor yesterday. Er Nirmaljit Singh , president of the Club presided over the function and highlighted the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters.

Private FM Station 92.7 Big FM gave a different twist to the Independence Day celebrations with launching of `Bhagwan Apka Hara Kare’ which is going to be an year long plantation drive aimed to be Jammu’s biggest one as of now. The campaign started from Balidan Stambh where close to two hundred saplings were planted to pay a life -long floral tribute to martyrs.

The Independence Day was also celebrated with charm and enthusiasm by Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha at Mahajan Bhawan, Shalamar road here, yesterday.
On the occasion president of the Sabha, Ramesh Gupta along with former Union Minister Chaman Lal Gupta hoisted the National Flag.
Swaran Vihar Welfare Committee also celebrated the 72nd Independence Day at Swaran Vihar , Police Colony in which S N Raina president of the Committee and other members hoisted the National Flag.

Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) district Udhmpur celebrated 72nd Independence Day at PHE Station Barian Udhhampur yesterday. The function was organized by Som Nath senior leader of the INTUC and on the occasion Ashwani Anand SE Hydraulic Circle Udhampur hoisted the National Flag.
The 72nd Independence Day was celebrated National Social Group Trust at Channi Himmat . The programme started with flag hoisting followed by National Anthem. On the occasion chairman and founder of the NSG Trust, Abhishek Padha threw light on the freedom struggle,
Shri Maha Ganesh Sabha, Frisal Kulgam, presently having its head office at Durga Nagar Jammu celebrated 72nd Independence Day. President of the Sabha Bharat Bhushan unfurled the National Flag, which was followed by National Anthem. On the occasion, Bharat Bhushan threw light on the importance of the day and asked the participants to follow the path of freedom fighters.
