JAMMU, Apr 10: Social Organization, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh Samaj Sudhar Forum organized an impressive Lecture session on the topic “Child begging”  in the KLSaigal Hall, Cultural Academic Complex, here today.
Padamshree Jatinder Udhampuri, Ex-Director Radio Kashmir Jammu was the chief guest of the occasion, while Kuldeep Sharma, Member Central Social Welfare Board, presided over  the function, Suganda Mahajan (SDPO) Bakshi Nagar, Ab. Gafoor Dar from Employees Trade Union Forum, Ayash Arif, prominent writer & artist, Er Syed Hashim Khakani, Usha Ram Pal, Dr Gopal Sharma and Kamal Sharma were present on the occasion.
Famous poet and writer, Ab Rashid Gamgin delivered a lecture on child begging and gave their views and opinion -how to prevent the children from begging.
Earlier, Jugal Kishor Gupta, chairman of the Forum presented the keynote a and  warm welcome address.
The function started with a patriotism song “Saray Jahan Se Acha Hindustan Hamara”.
The literary wing of the Form under the direction of Shashi Bhushan presented a play on the topic “Child Begging”. Little child Tatvagya Bhargav acted as “begging child”, whose acting was lauded by the participants. The child artist was honored by the cash prize and a trophy.
KA Dewani, State president of the Forum expressed concern  over the people, who choose begging to live.
He said it is a collective responsibility of the political/ religious leaders and civil society to campaign against begging.
Sewa Ram Rathore presented the vote of thanks.
Prominent among others who spoke on the occasion were CL Koul, Neetu Kohli, CP Arora, Anil Razdan, Subash Chander and Shahida Ladakhi.
