JAMMU, Nov 8: Senior Democratic Azad Party (DAP) leader and Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Sobat Ali here today started the work of road blacktopping in Sunjwan, Bermeni and Jallalabad near Madni Masjid in his Ward number 74.
Speaking on the occasion the Councillor said that the road blacktopping in the area was a long pending demand of the locals there work on which has been started today.
He also said that remaining works of the Ward shall also be taken up soon in phased manner.
Sobat Ali asked the people of his Ward to maintain cleanliness in the Ward by avoiding throwing garbage in lanes and drains and by making the use of door-to-door moving autos to collect the garbage from households.
He said that he has taken up other issues of the Ward like poor water supply etc with the concerned authorities and soon the solution for that might be reached.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Haji Saleem, Master Farman, Master Younis Rahi, Suhuket, Shabir, Usman Kohli, Farzan Ali, Master Syed Mohd, S. Rattan Singh, Suraj, Sachin Verma and others.
