JAMMU, May 27: SNS Vidya Mandir School today organised an impressive ceremony to officially entrust responsibilities to the newly elected Student Council for the academic session 2026-27. The programme reflected the values of leadership, discipline, dedication and service.
The ceremony was graced by chief guest Soujanya Kumar Sharma (retd officer) ex-Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, in the presence of Manager Trust Rajinder Kakkar, Co-Manager Trust Darshan Lal Sharma, Principal Neetu Gupta, staff members, parents and students.
The programme commenced with ceremonial lamp lighting by the dignitaries, followed by a welcome address by Principal Neetu Gupta, who highlighted the importance of leadership, integrity and responsibility among students. A vibrant ‘Shiv Tandav’ dance performance added colour to the celebration.
During the oath ceremony, the newly elected council members pledged to perform their duties with sincerity and commitment. The chief guest conferred ceremonial sashes upon the young leaders.
A mime show conveying the message of unity and harmony was highly appreciated by the audience. A felicitation ceremony was also organised in which Anshika Saini was honoured as Class 10 school topper, while Megha Chib, Vansh Verma and Vaishnavi Pandita were felicitated as second, third and fourth toppers respectively. National yoga players Aarav Sharma and Abhay Kumar, along with MTS members Jyoti and Romesh, were also honoured with cash prizes. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Head Girl Ananya Verma.
