JAMMU, May 27: The Vice-Chancellor of Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ) felicitated outstanding sportspersons of the University for their achievements at national and international events during the academic session 2026–27.
Among the achievers, Aneesha Sharma was specially honoured for winning a gold medal in the team event and bronze medal in the individual event at the Asian Shooting Championship held in Korea. She also secured a silver medal in the All India Inter-University Shooting Competition at Meerut and represented India at the ISSF World Cup in Cairo, Egypt.
Jiya Choudhary won silver in the All India Inter-University Pencak Silat Championship, while Vedant Singh Jamwal, son of Ajit Singh Jamwal, secured bronze in the men’s category. Simran Singh and Ishmeet Singh were also felicitated for winning medals in rafting and Wushu respectively. The ceremony was attended by Director Sports Dr Vinod Bakshi and sports coordinators Ramandeep Karalia, Ravi and Kajal Premi.
