Snowfall in higher reaches of HP

SHIMLA, Dec 20:
Higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh received snowfall while mainly dry weather prevailed in the state on Friday.
The Meteorological Department said Keylong in Lahaul Spiti recorded 3.5 cm snowfall and Kalpa in Kinnuar one cm.
The Gateway of Lahaul Spiti 13050 ft high Rohtang Pass, Lady of Keylong and Seven sisters hills recorded light snowfall.
Keylong recorded minus six degrees Celsius minimum temperature, one degree above normal, Kalpa 0.2 degrees, Dharmshala 2.1 degrees, Solan 2.5 degrees and Mandi 2.8 degrees.
Tourist resort Kufri recorded four degrees Celsius minimum temperature, Dalhousie 4.3 degrees, Bhuntar 4.9 degrees, Sundernagar in Mandi five dgrees , Palampur in Kangra and Chamba six degrees , Nahan in Sirmaur 6.1 degrees, Shimla six degrees, Kangra 7.4 degrees, Una eight degrees, Hamirpur 8.8 degrees and Bilaspur 9.1 degrees.
The Met office has forecast rain and snowfall at isolated parts in the state during next 24 hrs. (UNI)
