POONCH, Mar 16: Snow clearance work on historical Mughal Road from both sides of Poonch and Shopian districts, started to regulate traffic movement this year.
Officials sources said that due to less snowfall this year, clearance work on Mughal Road, connecting Poonch -Rajouri districts with Kashmir Valley has been started much earlier than previous years.
Executive Engineer, Mughal Road Division said that approximately 30 Km road has been cleared from Poonch side till now, the work of which was started approximately a week ago.He said many machines are on the job as some stretches have received snow avalanches.
“Road will get completely cleared up to 15 April if weather condition would remain good,” he added.
Pertinent to mention that snow clearance work from Shopian (Kashmir) side was also started along with Poonch side and work from that side is also going on in full swing.
