Snatched motorcycle recovered, one arrested

JAMMU, Feb 12: Gangyal Police recovered a snatched motorcycle within two days with the arrest of one person.
As per police sources, on February 10 this year, a complaint was lodged by Abhijeet Singh Jamwal, son of Sunder Singh Jamwal of Sainik Colony Jammu with Police Station Gangyal stating that some unknown person has snatched his motorcycle bearing registration number JK02BE-2138 from Kunjwani and fled away from the spot.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 13/19 under section 382 RPC was registered at Police Station Gangyal and investigation started.
During investigation, raids were conducted in suspected locations and many suspects were rounded up to recover the snatched vehicle.
On reliable inputs, a team from Gangyal Police Station nabbed the snatcher, who has been identified as Sanju Kumar, son of Isher Dass of Kangar Bhalwal Tehsil Akhnoor, at present Plasa Tyarhi Tehsil Ramnagar District Udhampur. On his disclosure, the snatched motorcycle was recovered.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain his involvement in other theft cases.
Police team led by SHO Gangyal SI Nayat Ali worked out the snatching case under the supervision of SDPO South Dr Sunniya Ashkoor Wani, SP South Vinay Kumar and SSP Jammu Tejinder Singh.
