JAMMU, July 24: Major tragedy was averted when a snag was detected in Srinagar bound flight of Indian Airlines today following which it was grounded at Jammu Airport.
According to sources here, a snag was detected when the Indian Airlines flight, which took off for Srinagar at 1315 hours, was in air. It was grounded back at the Jammu Airport.
They said the flight carrying more than 100 passengers, landed safely at the airport.
The snag was repaired and the flight took off for Srinagar at 1630 hrs.
After returning from Srinagar, it again landed at Jammu Airport and later flew to Delhi at 1830 hrs, said the sources.
