JAMMU, May 27: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) organized an NCC Rank Ceremony with enthusiasm to honour cadets for their dedication, discipline, and leadership qualities. The ceremony marked the formal conferment of ranks upon deserving cadets.
Col Sumit Bana, Commanding Officer, 6 J&K Bn NCC, awarded the ranks to the cadets. Cadet Kartik and Cadet Dhruv were conferred with the ranks of Senior Under Officer (SUO), while Cadet Raman and Cadet Danish received the ranks of Junior Under Officer (JUO). Several other cadets were also honoured with the ranks of Sergeant, Corporal and Lance Corporal.
Speaking on the occasion, Lieut. (Dr.) Varun Dutta said that the ranks carry significant responsibility and provide opportunities to demonstrate leadership and commitment towards society and the NCC.
Prof. (Dr.) Pragati Kumar, Vice Chancellor (SMVDU) and Ajay Kumar Sharma congratulated the cadets and encouraged them to uphold the values of discipline, patriotism, and leadership.
