KATRA, June 5: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) today marked the 100-Day Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyaan through a series of awareness, wellness and community outreach programmes organized across its various establishments.
The initiatives were aimed at promoting a drug-free society and encouraging healthy lifestyles. The day’s activities also included yoga sessions, a health awareness talk and a CPR awareness programme, focusing on physical well-being, preventive healthcare and emergency response preparedness.
As part of the programme, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, Chief Executive Officer, SMVDSB along with other dignitaries flagged off an Anti-Drug Awareness Rally which witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty from SMVDCoN and DPS, healthcare professionals, Shrine Board officials and representatives of law enforcement agencies to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promote healthy living.
Carrying banners and placards bearing impactful anti-drug messages, participants sensitized the public about the adverse effects of substance abuse and advocated the adoption of healthy and responsible lifestyles. The rally served as a powerful platform for community engagement and collective action, reinforcing the message of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan and encouraging citizens, particularly the youth, to shun drugs and actively contribute towards building a healthier, safer and more responsible society.
An awareness exhibition and felicitation ceremony were also organized at the Atrium of SMVDNSH, highlighting the importance of collaborative efforts among institutions, healthcare professionals, law enforcement agencies and the community in addressing the challenge of substance abuse.
