SAMBA, Oct 14: One bovine smuggler was arrested by Rajpura Police and four bovine animals were rescued which he was smuggling to neighbouring Punjab at Badwal near here.
A case FIR has been registered in this regard at Police Station Ghagwal under relevant sections of the law.
Police said on the specific information about the smuggling of bovines a police party headed by SI Neeraj Ramotra of PP Rajpura under the supervision of SHO PS, Ghagwal, Dy SP Hqr Virender Singh and SSP Samba Joginder Singh laid a naka at Badwal and arrested bovine smuggler Tej Ali , S /O Jamat Ali of Mathara Chak Tehsil Hiranagar of Kathua district and four bovine animals which he was smuggling to neighbouring Punjab were rescued.
