SRINAGAR, Mar 24: Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) , Gazanfar Ali, along with Health Officer and senior officers of the Corporation today visited different areas including Kantar, Lal Bazar, Zaidbal, Alamgari Bazar and Hazratbal areas to take stock of sanitation and the ongoing sterilization drives in wake of NOVEL (COVID-19) .
During his visit to these areas, Commissioner SMC inspected various ATMs and sealed one ATM in Hazratbal area for not following advisory issued by the authorities for maintaining hygiene and strictly following precautionary measures in wake of Coronavirus threat .
Besides, number of bank managers were asked to keep adequate arrangements at ATMs for prevention of Coronavirus and also train ATM guards accordingly.
Also, one hardware shop in Lal Bazaar near GD Goenka School was found open and the owner was strictly warned to immediately close down his shop.
Gazanfar Ali also requested all the shopkeepers, except for the essential commodities service, not to open their shops , failing which their business establishments shall be sealed by the SMC for non-compliance of orders.
