JAMMU, June 22: Apni Party, Provincial President, Jammu, Manjit Singh today criticized Jammu Municipal Corporation for its failure to deal with the water logging and poor management of sewerage system in the municipal limits.
Manjit Singh was addressing a joining programme at Gandhi Nagar office of the Apni Party, which was organized by Provincial President, Legal Cell Jammu, Vikram Rathore in which prominent Advocate from Bhaderwah, Baber Malik joined the party.
Concerning the inclement weather conditions, he said that JMC has been exposed with a single day rainfall with the water logging and blockage of the drains in different areas of the municipal limits.
He said that the people have always complained about the biased approach of the Corporation towards the certain wards where the scattered garbage, choked drains and water logging has created problems for the residents.
He said that the people of Jammu were expecting better facilities under the Smart City Project but it seems that there was hardly any progress with regard to the implementation of the scheme which was launched with much pump and show.
Welcoming Baber Malik into Apni Party, Manjit Singh said that the Party has got support from every segment of society from all the regions as they feel cheated by the traditional political parties with regard to the fulfillment of the assurances made with the people especially the youth.
He said that the joining of people from the legal profession and other fields will help the Party to make inroads in the areas where the traditional political parties have lost their ground.
Apni Party’s spokesperson and Senior Advocate Nirmal Singh Kotwal among other leaders were also present on the occasion.
Nirmal Singh Kotwal also raised various issues being faced by the general public of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the Apni Party will leave no stone unturned to highlight the issues of the people and get them redressed as early as possible.
Vikram Rathore, Provincial President Jammu’s Legal Cell also spoke on the occasion and highlighted various issues.
