JAMMU: A smallest batch of 30 pilgrims today left from here amid tight security for their respective base camps in Kashmir viz Baltal and Pahalgam.
“Amid chants of ‘Bam Bam Bhole, Jai Baba Burfani’ a fresh batch of pilgrims left from Bhagwati Nagar base camp for Baltal and Pahalgam in Kashmir,” an official here said.
He added the pilgrims proceeded for their pilgrimage via Pahalgam and through Baltal routes to pay their obeisance at holy cave shrine of Shri Amarnath situated in south Kashmir Himalayas.
The final pujan will be organised tomorrow when the Chhari Mubarak, the holy silver mace of lord Shiva, will be taken inside the cave on Raksha Bandhan, the day of yatra culmination.
