SLWA, Buta Nagar residents allege shortage of water

JAMMU, Sept 10: Sharda Lane Welfare Association (SLWA) has alleged shortage of drinking water  in their locality.
In a meeting of association the speakers said that the locality is without water supply for last 10 days, with the result that the residents are facing acute shortage of water.
Although the PHE authorities were repeatedly requested on phone in this regard, but no arrangement have been made to provide drinking water even through tankers, they said, adding field staff except Supervisor do not bother to listen to their problems.
They have urged the PHE Minister to intervene personally to redress their issue.
Meanwhile, the residents of Buta Nagar camp were also facing acute shortage of drinking water for last many days as the PHE Department has failed to restore the water supply to the quarters.
