REASI, Feb 5: Slow pace of repair work on the dilapidated road connecting Simbal Choa to the revered Dera Baba Banda Bhadur Gurudwara has become a matter of concern for residents and commuters in the area.
The bad state of this crucial road is not only causing inconvenience but also posing significant safety risks to those who rely on it for daily travel during the rainy season.
The road serves as a vital transportation artery for both local residents and devotees heading to the Gurudwara. However, it is dotted with potholes and cracks at various locations making travel a bumpy and challenging experience.
The worsening condition of the road has raised valid safety concerns, with the road becoming accident-prone and leading to vehicular breakdowns.
This morning, a truck got stuck on the road near the Kunda Nallah, which led to the heavy jam on both ends of the road. The locality students could not attend their school and had to return back home as the road remained closed till 11 a.m. Later on, the truck was removed with the help of JCB.
Locals have requested the district administration to redress their grievance on this account and instruct concerned authorities to fast track the repair work of the road.
