Sleeper Coach Association hopeful of ban review

JAMMU, Jan 11: Sleeper Coach Association has hoped that following the intervention of Chief Minister’s Political Advisor Devinder Singh Rana, the Punjab Government would review its decision of banning the entry of sleeper coaches of J&K in the neighbouring State.
Talking to media persons, president of the Association, Ravi Sharma, informed that Mr Rana has taken up the issue with Finance Minister of Punjab who has assured to solve the matter after discussion with Secretary Transport Punjab.
It is pertinent to mention that the neighbouring Punjab has reportedly banned the entry of sleeper coaches of J&K in its territory following which the Sleeper Coach Association here stopped the loading of Punjab Roadways buses from Jammu. The Association also stopped all the buses of Katra to Delhi route and lodged a strong protest.
