VIJAYPUR, Nov 18: Former Minister and NC candidate from Vijaypur, Surjeet Singh Slathia today called upon voters of the constituency to vote in his favour in Assembly election for making overall development of Vijaypur.
Slathia addressed a series of public meetings at Dashmesh Nagar, Koulpur, Rahya, Rattanpur, Kajyal, Khanpur and Pakhri.
He said it was the fact that National Conference has always watched the interest of the people of all sections of society while whole of J&K State witnessed equitable development in all the three regions of the State during the last six years.
On the occasion Slathia gave on overview of the developmental activities taken up in the Vijaypur constituency during the past six years. He said that this initiative will continue in future as well and sought co-operation of the people in implementing various schemes for the over all development of the area.
Slathia said that NC is committed to create better infrastructure facilities for the people of the area especially living in the remote and far-flung areas without any kind of discrimination and people must see the performance of Omar led Government for the last six years before going to the polling station.
He said that many people of different political parties will come to make their claims but the people must realize the performance of the candidate on the ground while making the choice for their candidate in the Assembly election.
Among others Capt Jasbir Singh, Master Mohinder Singh, Baboo Shah, Tarsaim Lal Verma, Raja Singh, Puran Chand Sharma, Prem Paul Choudhary, Sodagar Gupta, Ajay Sharma, Master Babu Ram and Bishan Kumar Verma accompanied Mr Slathia.
