Slathia dedicates renovated pond to people

SAMBA, Aug 31: Former Minister and MLA Vijaypur, Surjeet Singh Slathia assured the people that the Government is committed to provide basic amenities to the people of each and every area.
He was addressing a public rally  at Rajinderpura  in Vijaypur constituency after dedicating a renovated pond to people of  village  Rajinderpura  in the Block Purmandal which has been renovated  at the cost of Rs.18.50 lakh under the scheme CDF executed by Rural Development Department which was  the long pending demand of the people of the area.  On the completion of this project the people of the area will be benefied.
Slathia said that the coalition partners are working in close co-ordination for the betterment of the people of the state and has gained significant achievements in the various sectors of development in general and remote areas in particular.
He directed the concerned agencies to make all out efforts for preserving the traditional water bodies and revival of old ponds to further augment water supply in the water scarced  kandi area.
Slathia said that the present Coalition Government headed by Omar Abdullah is committed to develop the remote and backward areas of the state for which road connectivity is the most important aspect. The Government has fixed priorities to upgrade the existing roads and simultaneously ensure road connectivity to every village of the state.
Among others Addl. District Development Commissioner, Samba, BDO Purmandal, Executive Engineer, REW, Samba, Panches and Sarpanches were also present on the occasion.
