JAMMU, July 1: The executive committee of SKUAST-Teaching Association Jammu (SKUAST-TAJ), under the chairmanship of its President Dr Vikas Sharma, called on Vice-Chancellor SKUAST-J, in his office at Main Campus Chatha.
The association discussed various burning and just issues of teaching fraternity of SKUAST-Jammu with the VC and submitted him a memorandum of demands.
The Association demanded speedy disposal of all pending CAS cases of teachers / scientists of SKUAST-Jammu due as on date, posting of up to date statutes /acts of SKUAST-Jammu on the university website for the transparency / information of SKUAST-J employees, sanction order for institution of Dr Arun Gupta Memorial Gold Medal in the Division of Vegetable Sciences and Floriculture of SKUAST-Jammu and Publication of New RRI-2017.
The delegation also drew attention towards initiation of process for signing MoU between SKUAST-Jammu and ICAR-CITH, Srinagar and extension of MoU between SKUAST-Jammu and CSIR-IIIM, Jammu for increasing the research efficiency of the Institution.
After patient hearing, the VC assured the TAJ members to solve these issues as soon as possible.
The delegation comprised of Dr Vivak M Arya- General Secretary, Dr Pradeep Kumar Rai-Joint Secretary and Dr Devinder Sharma- Publicity Secretary while Dr Biswajeet Brahma, Dr Jai Kumar, Dr Anil Bhat, Dr Rohit Sharma, Dr Sanjay Koushal and Registrar SKUAST-J, Rajesh Talwar were present on the occasion.
