SRINAGAR, Feb 3: Crime Branch Kashmir has booked former Registrar and other senior officers of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agriculture Science and Technology (SKUAST) Kashmir for recommending regularization of 71 daily wagers, who were otherwise not eligible for the same.
The Crime Branch has registered case FIR No. 05/18 Under Section 420, 467, 468, 120-B RPC against Prof G N Bhat, the then Registrar, Dr Zaki, the then Dy Registrar/the then Assistant Registrar (Estt) and the DDOs/HODs concerned of SKUAST, Kashmir.
As per the case FIR, the accused officers, under a well knit criminal conspiracy by the manipulation of records, had forwarded the cases of 71 daily paid Labours of SKUAST to Government for regularization on extraneous consideration fraudulently and dishonestly, who were otherwise not eligible for the same.
Even some DPLS have been found to be non-existent.
