SKUAST-J teachers discuss issues, highlight demands

JAMMU, May 6: A meeting of the executive members and office bearers of SKUAST-Teaching Association Jammu (SKUAST-TAJ) was under the chairmanship of its president, Dr Vikas Sharma, here today at Main Campus Chatha.
Several agendas pertaining to the overall welfare, better functioning and progress of the university were deliberated in the meeting.
SKUAST-TAJ stressed that there should be clearance of all pending CAS promotion cases with in shortest possible time as it was creating financial liability as well as delaying the promotions of varsity staff. Up to date statutes of SKUAST-Jammu must be displayed on the university website for information of the employees of the Institution, the house resolved and demanded preparation of the seniority list for all cadres of the teaching employees.
Some other demands like allotment of Ph D students to Asstt/Assoc Professors, normal fee for employee ward and sanitation facilities for faculty staff quarters were also highlighted in the meeting, which was attended by Dr Vivek M Arya, Dr P K Rai, Dr Devinder Sharma, Dr Jai Kapoor, Dr Vijay Bahadhur Singh, Dr Vinod Gupta, Dr Muneeshwar Sharma, Dr Puneet Choudhary and others.
