JAMMU, July 7: Dr Kafil Hussain, Associate Professor in the Division of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Veterinary Science, SKUAST- Jammu has been selected for the Murray Fowler International Conference Scholarship instituted by the American Association of Zoo Veterinarians (AAZV), Florida.
The fellowship and citation will be presented at an international science conference, The 2018 Joint AAZV/ EAZWV/ Leibniz-IZW Conference (Zoo and Wildlife Health Conference) at Prague. Dr Kafil Hussain will also present a research paper at the conference.
He recently visited the prestigious Leibniz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research (IZW), Berlin, Germany as one of the invitee in the laboratory course. He is teaching many of the theoretical and practical courses related to zoo and wild animal medicine in the advanced phases of bachelors and masters degrees. Besides this, he is also a recipient of Fellow of Academy of Science for Animal Welfare.
