JAMMU, Nov 1: Two Kashmiri Pandit Organizations have expressed their grave concern over raking up of autonomy and Article 370 issue by some main stream political parties.
Sampooran Kashmir Sangthan (SKS) and Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) in their separate meetings have lambasted NC leadership raising autonomy issue.
The SKS chairman, Anoop Koul slammed NC leaders for raising the controversial issue forgetting that the founder of Party and former Chief Minister Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah had himself accepted the Chief Minister’ post after the Baig -Parthasarthy accord in 1975.
He said the clock can’t be reversed now and J&K is as integral part of India as 29 other states are.
SKS leader Bharat Kachroo and president Rakesh Koul also criticized the NC leadership for raising the controversial issues unnecessary when they are out of power. They also criticized the former Union Home Minister for raking up autonomy issue and said this way he has hurt the sentiments of people of the country as well as the Kashmiri Pandits.
KPC while lambasting the N.C leadership for raising the autonomy issue again, strongly pleaded for abolishing of two flag system and Article 370 from the State.
KPC in its meeting today at New Delhi has strongly lambasted the N.C leadership for raising again and again the illogical demand of Autonomy for the State of J&K and termed the demand as an ill–conceived as well as against the wishes and aspirations of all the segments of the people of the State.
It strongly urged the Center Government for abolishing of two flag–two Constitution system and Article 370. and demanded that the Central Government should initiate immediate steps in this direction as earliest as possible.
Kundan Kashmiri, president KPC stated that it is habit of N C leadership to raise such illogical demands, when they are out of power and asked them to re–call the Indira– Shiekh accord, in which this off–slit autonomy demand has been buried once for all, when Sheikh Abdullah ,the actual signatory of the accord, willingly resumed the post of Chief Minister of the J&K State and re-confirmed that Kashmir is integral part of Indian nation for all practical purposes.
