SKS criticizes Central, State Govts for betraying displaced Pandits

JAMMU, Nov 21: Samp-ooran Kashmir Sanghatan (SKS) executive body met at Delhi today under chairmanship of Anoop Koul its chairman to remind once again to Government of India and Government of J&K that even after 28 years neither Central Government nor State Government are opening their ears & eyes to see and hear the uprooted community of Kashmiri Pandits which has lost carrier of at least two generations and still do not know its destiny.
Anoop Koul warned both Governments not to check the patience of this community and it will be better for Government to fulfill demands of KPs represented by Sampooran Kashmir Sanghatan which has already submitted its demands before two years back with vigorous followup till date.
The demands included, one time financial package against loss of carrier, loss of property, and loss of trade
It also demanded mediclaim for all KPs to treat the patients with better medical facilities and soft loan for over aged and traders so that they can start self employment to feed their families.
During the meeting general secretary of the organization Bharat Kachroo expressed his confidence over the support rendered by YAIKS for SKS agenda and welcomed them to be part of struggle for above agenda.
President Rakesh Koul has reminded State Government that after strong follow up by SKS the announcement made by Health Minister Basharat Bukhari on January 23 this year regarding medical insurance policy for Kashmiri migrants which was published on January 24 earlier in all press media of J&K which still has not been implemented even after availability of funds.
SKS has alarmed both Governments to implement above demands without delay to avoid any sort of agitation which can lead towards uncontrolled situation.
Other members present in meeting were Rattan Lal Koul ,Veer Ji Dullu, Ruskin Bhat , Aditya Tikoo, Naveen Raina, Kuldeep Qunango, Kishori Lal Handoo etc.
