SRINAGAR, Aug 28: The Department of Hospital Administration SKIMS today conducted a training program for officers dealing with purchase and procurement on GeM Govt. marketplace.
GeM expert, L. B Gautam gave a detailed presentation on the GeM Govt marketplace and highlighted the key features of the portal for efficient and transparent purchasing and procurement.
He emphasized upon all officers to get themselves well familiarised with the GeM handbook, training modules and general terms and conditions.
He informed that it is mandatory for all those dealing with purchase/ procurement to keep themselves abreast with the latest circulars and rules framed from time to time by competent authorities available on their websites.
He said the GeM e-market launched in 2016 by the Prime Minister of India is an integration between Govt and the procurement system to bring transparency and accountability in procurement management.
Medical Superintendent SKIMS Dr. Farooq A Jan and Director Finance SKIMS Intikhab Ahmad Shiekh moderated the session.
