Six held with Rs 25,000 stake money

JAMMU, June 10: Bakshi Nagar police nabbed six persons along with Rs 25,000 stake money and playing cards from Reshamgarh area.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Bakshi Nagar police station conducted a raid in Reshamgarh area and nabbed six gamblers along with Rs 25,000 stake money and playing cards.
The accused have been identified as Navdeep Singh of Jullaka Mohallah, Sandeep Gupta of Talab Tillo, Sunil Kumar of Muthi, Riaz Ahmed, Ramsaran and Akshay Vaid, trio residents of Reshamgarh.
A case under Section 13 Gambling Act has been registered against them at Bakshi Nagar police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Inspector Dileep Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO West Sandeep Choudhary, SP City Shiv Kumar Singh Chouhan and Incharge SSP Jammu Rajive Pandey.
