JAMMU, Jan 19: Out- rightly rejecting return proposal for Kashmiri migrants PCC Migrant Cell today said that situation is not conducive for return and rehabilitation of the migrants in Valley.
In a meeting here, today held under the leadership of the chairman of the Cell H L Pandita it said the situation is not better than 1990 in Valley and under these circumstances the migrants return is a risky factor.
The meeting demanded that before setting any return formula into motion the Government should first work for restoration of total normalcy in the Valley.
Mr Pandita in his address took a dig at those KP leaders who have left the Valley during the normalcy over five decades ago for talking on behalf of migrants’ return. He said the people settled in Mumbai, Pune and Union Capital for last over five decades can’t decide the fate of displaced people from Valley as the Pandits after their return don’t want to be forced out from Valley once again.
He accused the BJP of playing politics on the return of Pandits and also took the exception to the statement of some NC leaders who are trying to down play the mass exodus of minorities from Valley.
The meeting was also addressed by M N Pandita vice chairman of the Cell, Ghulam Qadir Bhat its convener and Shadi Lal Pandita co-convener.
