RAMBAN, July 27: Five persons including a Site Manager have been arrested for violating District Magistrate (DM) order.
As per police sources, a reliable information was received at Police Station Ramban that a contractor Choudhary Nagar Singh, Owner of CPPPL Company is executing the widening work of four lane NHW at Marghori Ramban through JCB, Excavator and loader machines and is throwing the muck in Chenab river.
Acting over the information, a team from Police Station Ramban led by Inspector Sunil Sharma under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Rajinder Singh, Additional SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Haseeb-ur-Rehman rushed to the spot and arrested five persons of CPPPL including a Site Manager.
It is pertinent to mention here that District Magistrate Ramban has prohibited the muck dumping in Chenab River by circulating a notification. Moreover the DM Ramban has also issued the instructions/notification to the CPPPL owned by Choudhary Nagar Singh that all the employees and workers who are executing the construction work at NHW shall get medically examined of COVID-19 but the employees were not adhering to the instructions and violated the norms.
The arrested persons were identified as Sageer Ahmed (Site Engineer), Patail Singh (JCB Operator), Irshad Ahmed (Loader Operator), Bikram Kumar (Excavator Operator) and Mubasher Hussaun (Excavator Operator).
A case under FIR Number 120/2020 under section 188 IPC has been registered at Police Station Ramban and investigation started.
