RAJOURI, Nov 25: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has detained six suspects allegedly involved in the mysterious murder of a youth hailing from Darhal area of district Rajouri.
A police spokesman said that after protest by the relatives of the deceased Wasim Raja, son of Ghulam Qadir Malik hailing from Chowkian in Darhal, at Rajouri town two days back, the Administration framed SIT led by SDPO Manjakote Zakir Shaheen. The family members alleged that their son was murdered and it was not a simple accident case as projected by Rajouri police. They demanded that SIT be framed to hold impartial probe.
The Police team lifted six suspects from different locations on the basis of inputs and placed them under interrogation. The police denied to disclose their names at this stage claiming that it may hamper the process of investigation. It said that three more youth are wanted in this case and they are absconding. The police teams are on the job to nab them.
It may be recalled that dead body of Wasim was recovered on Rajouri-Darhal road three days back at around 9.30 pm along with a car projecting it as accident.
